A Ride on NH-8

I brought my bike in Gurgaon last week from my home Jodhpur and I was waiting for a weekend since then. I want to start my ridings in Gurgaon as soon as I can.  So here comes the weekend and there I went for my first bike ride in Gurgaon.

I have no idea about place here since I haven’t roam around Delhi (or Gurgaon) much. So I have no idea where should I go for. So I just start my bike and went on NH-8. After reaching NH-8 I took turn towards Jaipur. There was not much traffic on the express way only a few trucks and cars were there on road, so I thought that it is going be a fine ride, but I was not sure about road condition there.

There are many IT parks and big companies like Hero Honda, Hyundai are present on both sides of highway. After driving a few KMs I saw HaldiRam’s Shop on left side, it seems that it is a bigger one and quite famous place in NCR to hangout, then there were few amusement and water parks. There is a MacD which is open for 24 hours (i hope it might be a good place to drive in a night for chats and food).

Then I passed through Manesar, it is upcoming town in Haryana, which is going t be a big industry Hub in near future. There were few diversions in the way of Manesar from Gurgaon, but it was a nice ride tilll here. After crossing Manesar I saw NSG (National Security Guards) center on left side, this is the same center which trained NSGs who provided their great services to secure our Nation, one example of these services is the 26/11 mumbai, when they fought against 10 terrorists.

After that there are farms on both side of roads and road is very good for ride. There were few diversion and a lot of dust due to some construction of bridges (I guess) on highway. I crossed Dharuheda  and took a U-Turn from a revolving restaurant (DILLI 6) (around 50 KMs from Gurgaon). It is good to see that there is a different kind of restaurants and Dhabas on the highway and it is good thing can be seen across North India.

So from Dilli 6 (ghumne wala hotel), I took U-Turn and drove back to gurgaon. Quite uneventful ride it was, but I got see a beautiful Sunset while driving back, people eating at dhabas, few police vans doing regular checking, few cars with Red Light on them and finally of-course Dust and Smoke, it is part of a industrial area.

I hope that I will go on few more rides in upcoming weekends. It is best way to get rid of tensions of life. 🙂
